This man is the MacGyver of dentistry 🦷 This is a creative/ insanely skilled & kind dentist- with his two lovely assistants they have taken me in twice. Both with massive dental disasters saving me ( no one wants to have a crown snap off before a wedding!! 😳) pressed time even -he literally makeshifts a teeny tiny post ( of wood it looked like 😳🤯) and cemented that baby in so good it lasted over 10-13 months.. 😁 then literally as I am getting the root removed and preped for implant.. the other front breaks off!! 😤 I tried a guy at McConachie dental ( he actually had more to work with then Dr Azarko did) he first argued with me for half an hour that I should pull the right out right there explained I didn’t have time - I had some Large interviews I had to go to.( 2 days) So in a sulky mood he painfully and reluctantly glued it in with out cleaning or filing lot etc installing it ridiculously bucktooth! & Burning my gums 3 times with the light- acting like I was a child for actually complaining!! Then manhandled my lips so hard he almost felt like he ripped it from the gums !! Finally done he tells me it will probably fall out right away. It did so in two days I immediately headed here and wow 🤩 bam miracle time -fxed in 45 minutes!! Daym excellent work here !!!

Hi everyoneI need to share this. I recently had a tooth pulled by Dr.York at Azarko Dental. Because the crisis has shut down 95% of offices in the cityit didn't take long to source who remained open. I had unrelenting tooth pain for about eleven hours. I called Azarko Dental at 8:40amhad a very helpfulpleasant lady discuss the process and protocolsalong with the earliest appointment time could allow(12:45pm). By around 1:40pm the tooth was removed. I cannot express enough gratitudeappreciation for Dr.York's kindheartedcalmcomfortingprofessionalism. Same must be said for Julia and the admin staff who treated me with prompt care and attention. This wasn't just a dental appointmentthis was an unforgettable EVENT in my life. Dr.York's empathy and realistic views surrounding the shutdown of such essential services during this crisis reminded me that there are people left in this world who have the common sense and fortitude to see past the hysteria and stay collected with the publics best interest in mind. I had help from a crew of real heroes. Thank you for your service and blessings to you all for being there for us during this difficult time. Love in the face of risk for your fellow man/women/child. I have been going to Azarko Dental Clinic for 23 years now and have been seeing Dr Ursula Skularec for every treatment . I have only praise for Dr Ursula Skularec and for Azarko Dental and I happily and gladly recommend Dr Skularec . Dr Skularec is highly skilled she explains the treatment in clear terms and she is very gentle and patient and she is always concerned about my comfort .Dr Skularec cares about her patients .I also should mention that she makes beautiful and well fitting crowns . And I have only good things to say about her assistant in this particular case Tanya . Thank you all at the clinic for the great work you are doing. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you are treated with respect and courtesy by the staff and Dentist and never did I have an unhappy experience . I should also mention Mohiny the hygienist . Mohiny is very gentle very thorough and very conscientious and I highly recommend her . For as long as Dr Ursula Skularec and Mohiny are with Azarko Dental i will continue to go to them for treatment . ( Sorry Mohiny i probably spelled your name wrong ).

It was my first time to see this clinic coz I was in severe pain I trusted my instincts and chose Azarko dental clinic and I’m glad I did coz Dr. York is highly skilled in his profession he did my molar root canal treatment amazingly beautiful and almost zero pain im very grateful and happy that he been able to save my dental bridge and prevent me from further expensive procedures on this time that my insurance coverage was temporary terminated. The whole team were very helpful and accommodating from the front desk to Jennifer who assisted me for my affordable payment options. She’s a sweetheart same as Kayla dr York ‘s lovely kindhearted assistant. Surely it will be my new trusted dental clinic now here in Edmonton coz I’m from Calgary just moved in here. Keep up the good work team Azarko!😃

Ive been a client for approx 4yrs now. Im very happy with the performance of Dr. Panesar. Not only is he a great dentist his character also vaults him into a category of all time "greatest dentists ive seen." Tracy Tran my teeth cleaning specialist is also a 5 star. Shes thorough gentle and a true pro at her job. The front staff are quick in receiving you upon entry and very accommodating to any questions or requests i might have. In short this has actually made sitting in a dentist chair easy and pleasant. New facilities very comfortable very clean very professional. Im 62 with denture and generally a pretty cranky old sot semi retired on a budget. They've accommodated me at every request. Awesome group of people. Norm d

I would 100% recommend Azarko Dental. I have a dental implant and have been through many different Dental practitioners and this by far has been the best place I have ever went to. The staff is amazingly kind and extremely knowledgeable. Doctor Panesar has an extreme wealth of experience and is extremely practical in his approach. They are all about providing a great service and are all about giving the best for there clients. As well with the latest technology used they keep a complete track record of your teeth gums and bone! I have already recommended this place to everyone I know and will continue to do so. Thank you everyone at Azarko.. my teeth have never looked better. Even after the hell I put them through... 🤣

May 17 was the second time I had my teeth cleaned at Azarko. Both times I have had Amanda the dental Hygienist. Prior dentist of 25 years closed down and my daughter recommended them. Amanda did a superior job cleaning and polishing my teeth. I can honestly say she has been the best hygienist I have had. My teeth came out perfect. No groves or areas in between my teeth were missed. Amanda was gentle had a kind disposition and acted professionally. Front staff were so friendly efficient and all smiles. Each staff had a bunch of flowers by their stations that also brightened up the room. I would 100% recommend Azarko dentistry to anyone looking for a hygienist or dentist.

We came in as an emergency patient at 3:50 pm on a Friday when they close at 4:00 pm. I couldn’t believe that Dr. Moore said to bring my boy back and he would help him because everywhere else we tried at that time shut us down. My son is 3 and broke his front teeth from a playground accident. He was tired and in pain. And Dr.Moore was so amazing with him he got him to take the numbing needle no problem I couldn’t believe it! He knew how to handle my son (3yr old with NO NAP!) and did everything he possibly could to help us. I will forever be grateful for this clinic and everyone in it ♥️ Thank you Dr.Moore and staff! We will definitely be back ♥️

Just visited Dr. York again. I cracked a tooth and required quick attention. Called on Sunday got in to see him on Monday. He was able to assess and repair the badly damaged tooth within an hour. FANTASTIC service. Another win for Dr.York! Thanks! I returned to Azarko Dental after not seeing a dentist for three years.(my last visit to this clinic) I fully expected bad news. I was extremely pleased when Dr. York said my teeth were in great shape. All I had to do was return for regular checkups. He could have BS'd me and I would not have known. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism. I will continue to recommend this clinic to my friends.

Finally my wisdom tooth extracted today with Dr. Brett York! He's amazing! its painless and he pulled my teeth in just seconds. what a great experience. and also the dental assistant lady is very helpful very informative and she explained the pre & post procedure in very simple way. I phoned them Saturday and got my appointment Monday right away. The doctor even gave me a discount bcoz I don't have insurance which I really needed. thank you and I will definitely recommenced this family dental. If there is more than 5 stars I would. so far the best dental in town! THANK YOU team!

Dr Andreas Azarko

General Dentist

Dr. Andreas Azarko graduated from the University of Alberta in 1990 after completing both his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the age of 21. He entered private practice alongside his older brother, Dr. Enrico Azarko, establishing what would become the Azarko Dental Group.

Over the decades, the practice grew into a respected group clinic with multiple dedicated doctors and extended hours of care. Throughout his career, Dr. Azarko enjoyed practicing General Dentistry, incorporating laser treatments and micro-air abrasion techniques where appropriate. While he introduced clear orthodontic options such as Invisalign® into the practice during his active clinical years, he has since stepped back from providing orthodontic services as part of his transition into emeritus status. Dr. Azarko also played a key role in modernizing the clinic, leading the adoption of full digital integration—including iTero digital scanning, digital X-rays, and chairside computer systems—as part of the move toward a fully paperless environment.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Azarko has long been an active member of the community, supporting organizations such as Goodwill Industries of Alberta, the Cross Cancer Institute, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In his personal time, he enjoys culinary experimentation, water sports, skiing, and maintaining a regular exercise routine.
Dr Allan Zhang

General Dentist

Dr. Allan Zhang graduated from the University of Alberta in 2002 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

He provides most dental services as a General Dentist, including wisdom teeth extractions, molar root canal treatment, and selected implant placement.

Dr. Zhang is proud of his daughter who is also attending the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Obviously conversation at home is centred around dentistry.
Dr Amarjit Panesar

General Dentist

Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Panesar earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Alberta.

He then went on to complete a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.

As a General Dentist, Dr. Panesar is an advocate of gentle dental care, and remains committed to building lasting relationships with a "personal touch". Dr. Amar's patients, and their dental experience under his care, are his pride and passion.
Dr Bona Zhang

General Dentist

Dr. Bona Zhang completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Alberta in 2017 and dedicates herself to providing patients, whether a child or elderly, with compassionate and quality care in all aspects of general dentistry. From fillings and extractions, to root canals and crowns, Dr. Zhang enjoys her work and the benefit it brings to her patients. She is also happy to offer orthodontic treatments like invisalign or traditional braces to improve smiles and function.

In her free time, Dr. Zhang enjoys hosting game nights with her friends and family, cheering on the Edmonton Oilers with her husband (even though he is a Canadiens fan at heart), and cuddling with her three cats!
Dr Brett York

General Dentist

Dr. Brett York is a graduate of the University of Alberta, receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. After graduation, Dr. York practiced dentistry in the Edmonton area for one year before moving his practice to Kelowna, British Columbia.

While in British Columbia, he practiced within a large family practice including extractions/tooth removal, endodontics, and surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.

Dr. York truly enjoys his profession as a General Dentist and is delighted to offer his services treating regular patients and dental emergencies on Sunday's. While maintaining a regular schedule at Azarko Dental Group during the week, the addition of Sunday's has been a rewarding experience to provide dental care on a day patients may urgently require a dentist.

In his free time, Dr. York enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing, sailing, travel, and spending time with family.
Dr Dubin Roy

General Dentist

Dr. Dubin Roy is a skilled and patient-focused dentist with over seven years of experience in general dentistry. He is passionate about Molar Endodontics, Surgical Extractions, Crown and Bridge work, and advanced adhesive dentistry. Dr. Roy has developed strong proficiency in rural dental care, providing individualized treatment plans and performing a wide range of procedures, including root canals, wisdom tooth extractions, and restorative treatments.

Dr. Roy holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the Govt. Dental College And Hospital in Gujarat, India. His career includes significant experience working in a rural setting in Rajasthan, India, where he managed oral health care for over 30,000 individuals and performed numerous oral surgeries. Dr. Roy is committed to continuous education, having attended specialized courses in biomimetic dentistry and advanced restorative techniques.

He is fluent in multiple languages and enjoys spending time with his pets and playing guitar.
Dr Nandini Mehta

General Dentist

Dr. Nandini Mehta is a dedicated general dentist known for her calm, patient centred approach and commitment to high quality care. She focuses on creating a comfortable, positive experience where patients feel at ease and well informed.

She holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from India. Dr. Mehta offers a full range of dental services, including restorative care, crowns and bridges, root canal therapy, Invisalign, surgical extractions, and preventive dentistry, with an emphasis on precision and long term oral health. She is passionate about continuing education and is currently advancing her training through KOIS courses.

She has a special interest in helping anxious patients feel comfortable through gentle care and clear communication, and has volunteered with several underserved communities. Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling, hosting friends, playing board games, and catching Edmonton Oilers games.
