Loved across Canada for its donuts and coffee, Tim Horton's has further garnered goodwill throughout Canadian communities with its Timbits Minor Sports Program. A sponsorship program that focuses on providing sports opportunities for children between the ages of four and nine, Timbits Minor Sports Programs are popular with many Edmonton parents.
Here's some information on a couple of upcoming Tim Horton's tournaments, as well as what you can do to make sure your child has a safe and fun time when participating in them.
Hockey Edmonton Timbits Jamboree
The 2016 Hockey Edmonton Timbits Jamboree is just around the corner, scheduled for March 11-13 at the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre. This free family event for Hockey Edmonton teams is a fantastic occasion for families to come out and enjoy a variety of fun activities. A day full of hockey games, face painting, and copious amounts of donuts are in store for all attendees.
Tim Horton's Outdoor Jamboree
A little further away but still an event that you should be keeping on your radar is the 2016 Tim Horton's Outdoor Jamboree. Taking place on June 11 at the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association South Complex, the Jamboree is open to U5-U6 age groups. The entry fee for the event is $30, and registration must be completed by May 31. Each team will have a chance to play one 30-minute game, and every player will be presented with a participation medal at the end of the game.
Ensuring a Safe and Fun Time for Your Child
Are you considering letting your child take part in these two Jamborees? Before setting them loose in the hockey rink or on the soccer field, you'll want to make sure to protect their teeth and gums with a properly fitted sports mouth guard from the dentists at Edmonton's Azarko Dental Group.
Minor bumps and bruises are a normal part of minor sports, and are generally nothing to worry about. You should, however, have some concern for your child's dental health. Injuries to the teeth and gums due to falls and impacts are not only common, but potentially very painful for your child and costly for you.
Make an appointment today at the Edmonton dental clinic of the Azarko Dental Group to have your child fitted for a sports mouth guard so that you can have peace of mind while they have a blast at the Jamborees.
